Hanoi solicits public opinions on the planning of international-class sports complexes

Hanoi - Orientation for the development of the Olympic sports urban subdivision - Area D is a sports urban area, a service urban area associated with an international-class sports complex.

On November 6, Thanh Oai Commune People's Committee coordinated with the Hanoi Department of Architectural Planning to organize a conference to collect opinions from state management agencies, organizations, experts and relevant communities on the Olympic Sports Urban Zoning Plan - Area D at a scale of 1/2000.

Organizing community opinions is an important step, to ensure publicity, transparency, and promote the people's mastery in urban planning.

The Olympic Sports Urban Zoning Plan - Zone D plays an orientation for developing the southern area of Hanoi into a sports, cultural, service and ecological urban center, associated with the goal of sustainable, green - smart - regional development.

At the conference, representatives of the planning consultancy unit, Hanoi Institute of Construction Planning presented the draft of the Olympic Sports Urban Zoning Plan - Area D scale 1/2000 with an area of 3,742.70 hectares, population of 275,000 people, within the administrative boundaries of Thanh Oai, Tam Hung, and Dan Hoa communes.

Of which, the main land area is Thanh Oai commune with more than 2,800 hectares. Orientation for the development of the Olympic sports urban subdivision - Area D is a sports urban area, a service urban area associated with the sports complex (international-class stadium).

The conference noted many contributions focusing on the following contents: Solutions to synchronously connect the status quo with the new urban area; adjusting the transportation system to limit site clearance, drainage infrastructure works and expanding drainage routes; ensuring harmony between urban development and landscape conservation, cultural and religious relics...

The opinions were compiled by the Commune People's Committee and sent to the Hanoi Architectural Planning Project Management Board for consideration and acceptance during the process of completing the dossier for appraisal.

Previously, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan signed and issued a decision approving the task of planning the Olympic Sports Urban Zoning Area - Area A, scale 1/2000.

Accordingly, the area for studying the development of the Olympic Sports Urban Zoning Plan, scale 1/2000, belongs to the administrative boundaries of 6 wards and communes, limited by the North bordering Phan Trong Tue Street, the South bordering Ring Road 4, the East bordering the existing residential area and Ngoc Hoi Industrial Park, the West bordering the C4 urban subdivision.

The scale of the study on the Olympic Sports Urban Zoning Plan, scale 1/2000 is about 16,081 hectares. The scale of the Olympic Sports Urban Zoning Plan - Area A, scale 1/2000 is about 3,280 hectares.

This is a sports urban complex, tourism services, and ecology in the South of Hanoi city, with a sports complex, regional and international-class "Olympic villages" that meet the standards and conditions to be able to organize the Asian Games and the Olympic Games.

This also helps expand the space of the Southern urban area; synchronously connecting, completing, synchronously connecting the social infrastructure system, technical infrastructure in urban and rural areas. Forming a modern, smart urban area, an ecological compact urban area (TOD) that meets the role of a driving force (traffic actor) to promote socio-economic development for the southern gateway area of the capital.
