Hanoi adjusts traffic on Nghi Tam street and surrounding areas to serve the construction of the Tu Lien bridge project.

From August 20, 2026, Hanoi City adjusts traffic organization on Nghi Tam street and surrounding areas to serve the construction of the Tu Lien bridge project and approach roads at both ends of the bridge.

According to the plan announced by the Hanoi Department of Construction, vehicles on Nghi Tam street, except for trucks and passenger cars with more than 16 seats, who need to go on Au Co street, Nhat Tan bridge will be guided to turn right at alley 276 Nghi Tam area, then follow the temporary road 6m wide to Au Co street and continue towards Nhat Tan bridge.

Traffic in the opposite direction on this temporary road is prohibited.

Other traffic directions continue to be implemented according to the current traffic organization plan.

The Department of Construction requests to add no-stopping and no-parking signs on temporary roads to ensure traffic safety and limit congestion.

The plan is applied from August 20, 2026 until there is an announcement of adjustment or replacement.

The Hanoi City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board is required to supplement a system of signs and directional signs for vehicles according to the new plan, ensuring compliance with current standards. Coordinate with press agencies to propagate so that people can proactively choose their direction of movement, limiting the impact on traffic on Nghi Tam street and surrounding routes.

Functional units are required to regularly monitor and evaluate traffic conditions to promptly detect inadequacies and propose adjustments to plans when necessary.

The Traffic Police Department - Hanoi City Police is requested to coordinate in guiding and diverting vehicles, and at the same time strengthen inspection and handling of violations of traffic safety and urban order on the route, at intersections.

People's Committees of Tay Ho and Hong Ha wards are requested to promote propaganda so that people in the project area and surrounding areas can grasp the plan and proactively choose the route.

Local functional forces will coordinate with the Traffic Police to regulate and guide vehicles; and at the same time inspect and handle the situation of encroaching on roads and sidewalks for business, illegal parking causing unsafety and traffic congestion.

The adjustment of traffic organization is to serve the construction of the Tu Lien bridge and approach road project at both ends of the bridge, the section from Nghi Tam intersection to the intersection with Truong Sa road, while ensuring traffic safety and limiting congestion in the construction area.
