In order to ensure traffic safety and order, environmental sanitation, and urban beauty to serve the 80th Anniversary of the success of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025); at the same time, facilitate the travel needs of the People, domestic and international tourists during the National Day holiday on September 2, 2025.
Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Construction Mr. Tran Huu Bao has just signed and issued Document No. 9739/SXD-KCHTGT to the People's Committee and the Infrastructure Investment Project Management Board of wards and communes; investors; Project Management Board and contractors constructing works on roads and streets in Hanoi.
Accordingly, the Department of Construction requested units to strengthen supervision, site review, speed up construction progress, complete the items under implementation; carry out site clearance, cleanup to ensure traffic safety and order, environmental sanitation and urban aesthetics before August 10, 2025.
The construction of road and sidewalk excavation in the city will be temporarily suspended from August 11, 2025 to September 5, 2025, except for projects to handle unexpected incidents or key projects licensed by the Hanoi People's Committee or the Department of Construction.
The Department also requested the Hanoi City Police to strengthen coordination in inspection and strictly handle violations of investors, Project Management Boards and construction contractors if they do not comply with regulations.
The People's Committees of wards and communes are required to direct the Infrastructure Investment Project Management Board, investors and construction contractors - who have been licensed - to organize the implementation to speed up the progress, complete the construction items, carry out site clearance and return. At the same time, these units must seriously implement the direction to temporarily suspend the construction of road and sidewalk digging during the above-mentioned period.
The Department of Construction also assigned the Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board, the Hanoi City Infrastructure Management Center and related units to strengthen inspection and strictly handle violations; promptly report to the Department for consideration and direction of contents beyond their authority.
