National Highway 6 is a vital axis, connecting Hanoi with Hoa Binh (now Phu Tho) and the Northwest provinces. In fact, National Highway 6 through Hanoi has deteriorated and been overloaded for many years, often causing congestion and traffic accidents.
To solve the above situation, at the end of 2022, the Hanoi People's Committee started the National Highway 6 expansion project, the Ba La - Xuan Mai section, with a length of about 21.7 km.
The starting point of the project is located at km14 in Ba La district, Ha Dong district (now Yen Nghia ward); the ending point is km38, Xuan Mai town, Chuong My district (now Xuan Mai commune).
The project has 5 construction packages, including items: Synchronous construction of road surface foundation, water supply and drainage, technical cable ditches, lighting, green trees, 8 road bridges, 1 newly built box culvert.
The project has a total investment of over 9,590 billion VND, invested by the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, implemented in the period 2022-2027.
With the motto "only discuss doing, not backing down", Chuong My ward is determined to complete the inventory and handover of land for the section of National Highway 6 passing through Yen Phuc residential group (TDP) and Phuc Tien TDP before the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, contributing to accelerating the progress of the Project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 6, Ba La - Xuan Mai section.
Mr. Trinh Duy Oai - Chairman of the Ward People's Committee emphasized: Land clearance work will be implemented in accordance with legal regulations, ensuring harmony of interests of the State, people and businesses. Related mechanisms and policies will be sent by functional sectors in writing directly to each unit and household to ensure publicity and transparency.
Businesses and households expressed high consensus and unity with the project's policy. Some businesses also proposed and recommended to facilitate the relocation process, such as: Ha Dong Construction Materials Mechanical Company proposed to create conditions to move the office backwards; Ha Dong Mechanical Company wishes to combine renovation of the office; Hieu Mai warehouse with a large volume of goods facing difficulties in relocation but committed to making efforts to hand over the site on time...
In the spirit of consensus, businesses and households signed minutes of measurement, committing to voluntarily dismantle the project and relocate materials to hand over the site to serve the project construction.
The completion of site clearance for National Highway 6 not only contributes to ensuring the progress of the key project of the City, but also creates favorable conditions for socio-economic development, reducing traffic congestion and environmental pollution in the ward.
