Hanoi recovers about 96,500m2 of land to build Ring Road 2.5

Hanoi - About 96,500m2 of land in Cau Giay, Yen Hoa and Thanh Xuan wards will be recovered for the construction of 3 sections of Ring Road 2.5.

The project to invest in the construction of Ring Road 2.5 sections: Dich Vong - Duong Dinh Nghe new urban area; Vu Pham Ham - Tran Duy Hung; Nguy Nhu Kon Tum - Nguyen Trai was started this morning (March 20).

The 3 route sections have a total length of about 2.26km, a cross-section of 40-50m, and a total estimated investment of about 8,402 billion VND.

The Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (the investor) said that the project includes 4 component projects, including 3 component projects for site clearance and 1 component project for construction investment.

Component project 1: 1: Compensation, support, resettlement and relocation, restoration of technical infrastructure works within the land clearance scope in Cau Giay ward.

The total planned land area to be recovered is 32,160m2 and 359 graves.

Up to now, component project 1.1 has been approved; 359/359 graves have been moved; technical dossier measurement of land plots 117/117 land users has been completed; counting and planning of 117/117 plans have been completed; approximately 25,000/32,160m2 of land has been handed over.

Component project 1. 2: Compensation, support, resettlement and relocation, restoration of technical infrastructure works within the land clearance scope in Yen Hoa ward.

The total recovered land area is 25,370.6m2 and 83 graves.

Component project 1.2 has been approved; 83/83 graves have been moved; 366/366 land recovery plans have been issued; 366/366 plans have been surveyed and counted; 1/366 plans and 9/83 grave relocation plans have been approved; dossiers confirming the origin of land for 250/366 plans, draft 150/366 plans have been completed; approximately 3,016.8/25,370.6m2 of land has been handed over.

Component project 1. 3: Compensation, support, resettlement and relocation, restoration of technical infrastructure works within the land clearance scope in Thanh Xuan ward.

The total area to be recovered is about 39,053.9m2 (including: 30,590m2 of residential land; organizational land: 3,180m2, with about 5,000 people residing within the project area).

Project 1.3 has been approved; 475/475 land recovery plans have been issued; investigation, inventory and confirmation of land origin of completed plans are 450/475 plans; 14/475 plans have been approved, and 330/475 plans are currently being drafted.

Regarding construction work (component project 2), on January 4, 2026, Hanoi City People's Committee issued Decision No. 11/QD-UBND on issuing the Emergency Construction Order of the project.

On February 11, 2026, the City People's Committee issued project approval decision No. 674/QD-UBND.

On March 13, 2026, the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board issued Decision No. 284/QD-BQLCTGT on Approving the construction design to be implemented after the basic design (construction drawing design) of the Dich Vong - Duong Dinh Nghe new urban area section.

On March 12, 2026, March 16, 2026, the Project Management Board received the handover of a part of the site from Cau Giay Ward People's Committee, Yen Hoa Ward People's Committee with a total length of more than 0.6/2.26km.

According to the plan, site clearance for the project will be completed in the first quarter of 2026, and the entire project will be completed in 2026.
