On February 7, Hoa Lac Commune People's Committee (Hanoi) had information on the progress of site clearance for the Thang Long Avenue expressway construction project, the section from National Highway 21 to Hanoi - Hoa Binh expressway in Hoa Lac commune (Thang Long Avenue expressway project).
Accordingly, on February 6, Mr. Dao Xuan Ban - Chairman of the Commune People's Committee and 2 Vice Chairmen of the Commune People's Committee directly went to the area, directed 4 working groups, met with each household subject to land acquisition to propagate, mobilize, dialogue, and clearly explain compensation, support, and resettlement policies; and at the same time drastically directed the clean site clearance work, promptly handing over to the Thang Long Avenue expressway project construction unit.
Thanks to the drastic, flexible, and close-to-people, close-to-work approach, on February 6 alone, 49 land plots with an area of 15,487.5 m2 were agreed by the people to hand over the site first, showing the consensus, sharing and responsibility of the People for the Capital's key project.
According to the report of the Investment - Infrastructure Project Management Board of Hoa Lac commune, the progress of site clearance for the entire project has many positive changes.
As of 7 pm on February 6, the commune has recovered 470. 135.99 m2/425 plots, of which 180 cases voluntarily handed over the land first with an area of 106. 443.89 m2 when not paid; 9 cases of land donation with an area of 4, 430.5 m2. The area not yet handed over is 135. 428.11 m2/263 plots.
In parallel with site clearance work, Hoa Lac commune is focusing on publicizing plans, pricing, confirming land origin and completing dossiers in accordance with legal procedures and regulations.
At the same time, proactively review and prepare necessary conditions to promptly support and arrange temporary accommodation in the immediate future for households in need, ensuring the stable life of the people during the project implementation process.
With the high political determination of the Party Committee, the Commune People's Committee and the synchronous involvement of the entire political system, Hoa Lac commune is focusing its efforts and accelerating every day to complete the site clearance of the Thang Long Avenue expressway project on schedule.
Hoa Lac Commune People's Committee continues to call on the remaining households to promote the spirit of responsibility, consensus, and sharing for the common good, and soon hand over the site to the project.
The support and coordination of the People is the key factor, contributing to creating a clean ground, promoting key projects, and opening up new development space for Hoa Lac and Hanoi Capital.
In October 2023, Hanoi started the investment project to build the Thang Long Avenue expressway, the section connecting National Highway 21 to the Hanoi - Hoa Binh expressway.
The project is about 6.7km long, with a cross-section of 120-180m, located in Hoa Lac and Yen Xuan communes.
The project has a total investment of 5, 249 billion VND, invested by the Hanoi Civil Engineering Construction Investment Project Management Board.
When completed, the road will contribute to completing the entire Hanoi - Hoa Binh expressway; developing and expanding Hanoi Capital to the West, meeting the increasing transportation demand; and being a driving force for the development of Hoa Lac satellite city and the Western satellite city chain.
