According to the Project Management Board 2, the upgrading project of Highway 19 has a length of nearly 230km, when completed, it will ensure the car runs at a speed of 80km/h, helping to enhance the Central Highlands connection with the South Central Coast. The project was implemented in August 2021 with a total investment of more than 3,600 billion dong. In which, 150 million USD borrowed from the World Bank; US $ 2.1 million from the Australian government and $ 3.7 million in the country's reciprocal capital.

In Dak Lak, Mr. Dang Tho Dan - Head of Transport Project Executive Department (under the Management Board of Construction Investment Project Construction Project and Rural Development of Rural Development) - said, besides high projects Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot, the province is speeding up the upgrade of the provincial road 1, the arterial gland from Buon Ma Thuot City to Buon Don and Ea Sup districts. Currently, contractors are overtime in the dry season to keep the project in the fourth quarter of 2025.

The connection of Gia Lai and Binh Dinh through Highway 19 not only improves the capacity of transporting goods and services but also helps Gia Lai develop tourism thanks to the "forest with the sea" link. In 2025, the province aims to welcome 1.7 million visitors, revenue of 950 billion dong, expect to attract tourists thanks to convenient transport infrastructure.

In addition to Highway 19, Chairman of Gia Lai People's Committee, Mr. Rah Lan Chung has directed functional agencies to remove administrative procedures to accelerate key infrastructure projects. Typically, the East -West economic corridor route with an investment of VND 1,200 billion and the residential project of Nguyen Van Linh street, a scale of VND 2,160 billion. These routes will contribute to creating a new urban appearance for Pleiku.
