On January 21, the Son La Provincial Federation of Labor organized a press meeting on the occasion of the Lunar New Year and oriented propaganda work on trade union activities and the labor movement in 2025.
At the meeting, Ms. Thai Thi Mai - Vice President of Son La Provincial Labor Federation highly appreciated the contributions of Lao Dong Newspaper in reflecting images, information and films about the activities of Son La Labor Union.
In 2024, the Son La Provincial Federation of Labor has performed well its role of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
As of January 13, 2025, trade unions at all levels in the province have been implementing activities to care for 18,731 union members and workers with an estimated cash and in-kind value of over 9 billion VND. Of which, from the union budget of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Provincial Federation of Labor, 8,329 union members and workers have been cared for with a total amount of over 4 billion VND.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation allocated 5,070 Tet gifts to the Labor Federations of districts, cities, industry unions and provincial civil servant unions to take care of Tet for union members and laborers in difficult circumstances, with a total value of more than 2.5 billion VND. Presented charity tickets to nearly 50 union members and laborers from other provinces working at enterprises in Moc Chau and Van Ho districts to return home for Tet with a value of over 34 million VND.
In particular, at the program "Tet Sum vay - Xuan chia chia" in 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor presented 100 Tet gifts with a total value of 100 million VND to union members and employees in difficult circumstances. Implemented the program "Tet Union Market 2025" online and allocated 2,481 union members and employees in difficult circumstances; each union member, employee, and union officer participating in the program will receive 1 free Voucher, with a support level of 500,000 VND/person.
Previously, a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper was awarded a certificate of merit by this unit for his outstanding achievements in Trade Union work in 2022 and 2023.
