Ha Tinh - On the morning of September 14, in Ha Tinh, rain decreased, water in many low-lying areas is receding rapidly.

According to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, on the morning of September 14, in Ha Tinh, the rain had subsided, only drizzle was left.

In many low-lying areas downstream of Ke Go Lake such as Cam Due commune, Cam Binh, Ha Huy Tap ward..., flooding into people's houses has not occurred. The water level outside the fields is rising but is gradually receding after the rain decreased.

Previously, on the evening of September 13, to proactively protect property for people in low-lying areas in Thanh Son village, Ky Van commune, Ky Van Commune Police supported some households to raise their property when water flooded into their yards.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Thang - Chairman of Ky Van Commune People's Committee - said that on the evening of September 13, in Thanh Son village, about 10 households were flooded. The commune police have supported raising property for elderly and lonely households.

By the morning of September 14, after the rain subsided, water had receded from the yards of some households in the low-lying area of Thanh Son village.

Currently, the water level has receded to the normal level as before the rain," Mr. Thang shared.

According to a report on the morning of September 14 by the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control of Ha Tinh province, due to the impact of the tropical depression, some localities in the province have been affected.

In Ky Van commune, 11 households have their houses flooded, and households have proactively raised their belongings. Three roads (2 alleys, 1 village axis) are flooded; the underground spillway in Hong Xuan village is flooded and cannot be traveled. Up to now, the water has receded completely.

In Ky Xuan commune, the coastal road section has a point at risk of landslides. Local authorities have proactively placed warning signs at both ends of the landslide area.

In Vu Quang commune, 4ha of sugarcane was knocked down; 3 landslide points occurred, including one point on the traffic road about 15m long and 2 riverbank points about 40m long; in addition, there are a few landslide points near people's houses.

In Gia Hanh commune, at about 4 am on September 11, heavy rain damaged the roof of a household with an area of about 10m2.

In Huong Do commune, an 80m long road in Hong Ha village was flooded.

In Mai Hoa commune, landslides occurred in Thanh Binh village, affecting the road and landslides close to people's houses, causing damage to an animal pen.

In Ky Anh commune, 60ha of unharvested rice were damaged, including 20ha in Phu Long village and 40ha in Ky Phu village. Due to being at the end of the Rac River water source in the summer-autumn crop, late-ripening rice is now completely broken and flooded.

The remaining localities as of now have not recorded damage due to heavy rains.
