On the morning of August 24, many officers and soldiers of Dan Hai commune police, Coast Guard soldiers, many youth union members and people of Dan Hai commune gathered to use steel nets, stone cages and many sandbags to build the coastal embankment in Hoi Long and Tan Ninh Chau villages.
Mr. Tran Quynh Thao - Chairman of the People's Committee of Dan Hai Commune - said that on the morning of August 24, about 400 people including armed forces, youth union members and people participated in transporting hundreds of cubic meters of boulders, reinforced sand, and anti-erosion against about 200 m of coastline in the area; mobilized 4 excavators to reinforce and embank the coast.


According to Mr. Thao, to prevent the impact of storm No. 5, the coastal embankment to prevent landslides here has been deployed since the afternoon of August 23, and is expected to be basically completed by August 24.
Also on the morning of August 24, dozens of officers and soldiers of the Ha Tinh Border Guard supported fishermen in coastal communes to anchor their boats in storm shelters.


Ha Tinh people continue to implement storm prevention measures including reinforcing their houses, pruning trees, and raising their assets to reduce damage caused by the storm.

Implementing the telegram of Ha Tinh province, since the afternoon of August 23, the locality has banned the sea.
Up to now, local boats have basically entered safe shelters.
