On February 23, the Team for Searching and Repatriating Martyrs' Remains of Division 968 (Military Region 4) confirmed that the unit had just discovered and exhumed a martyr's remains in Cam Lo commune, Quang Tri province.
Previously, after grasping information and surveying the area, by the morning of February 23, the search and rescue team had deployed searches and discovered martyrs' remains in the garden area of Mr. Le Van Canh's family, An Phuoc village, Cam Lo commune.

The remains were found at a depth of about 0.7m. The bone fragments were broken into many small pieces, 21 teeth were recovered, and buried in the ammunition box. The accompanying artifacts included a parachute cloth, ammunition box nails, 2 bomb fragments about 5cm long, and some related evidence.
Currently, the martyr's remains are being managed and preserved by the Search and Repatriation Team of Division 968 at the An Phuoc village hall, Cam Lo commune.
In the afternoon of the same day, a delegation from Division 968 led by Colonel Nguyen Chinh Trieu - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy Political Commissar of the Division, inspected the search and repatriation work in the locality.
Division 968 directed the Repatriation Team to continue to expand the search scope, and at the same time coordinate with functional agencies to inspect, verify, and compare information sources to serve the work of identifying martyrs in accordance with regulations.
