On June 20, the Steering Committee for the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Hai Duong province summarized the program, marking the completion of the goal of supporting housing for poor, near-poor households and policy families in the province.
Speaking at the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang praised the efforts of all levels, sectors and localities and expressed his deep gratitude to cadres, party members, people, businesses and philanthropists inside and outside the province for actively accompanying the program. The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that such a cooperation demonstrates the spirit of humanity, social responsibility and deep affection for the people.
The program will be implemented from October 2024 to June 2025, supporting the renovation and construction of new houses for 1,452 households belonging to meritorious people, relatives of martyrs, poor and near-poor households. The total implementation cost is more than 327 billion VND, of which the state budget supports 107.15 billion VND, the rest is contributed by households, clans, organizations and individuals. The Provincial Police force, the Provincial Military Command, the Women's Union, and the Provincial Youth Union have mobilized over 35,000 working days to support.

As of June 15, 2025, Hai Duong province has completed all program goals, exceeding the plan and progress assigned by the Prime Minister.
The Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee suggested that in the coming time, all levels, sectors, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and organizations continue to widely propagate the humanitarian significance of the program to mobilize more social resources. At the same time, it is important to support households whose houses have just been improved to escape poverty and stabilize their lives. The work of guiding the use of houses effectively and supervising warranty after construction also needs to be strictly implemented, taking the satisfaction of the people as a measure.
Along with that, the province will continue to research and issue policies to support the poor, near-poor and newly escaped poverty households in terms of housing, employment, healthcare, education, etc. to ensure sustainable security, leaving no one behind.
