The old apartment buildings A7 and A8 in Van My ward, Ngo Quyen district have been assessed as level D, and are considered dangerous structures that could collapse at any time. After storm No. 3 hit Hai Phong, the above-mentioned apartment buildings were severely affected, showing signs of subsidence and tilt, and are no longer suitable for use.
Before storm No. 3, Ngo Quyen district evacuated households in apartment buildings A7, A8 and adjacent surrounding households. After the storm, to ensure people's lives, households cannot return to live in the two apartment buildings mentioned above. Currently, the city is completing procedures to issue an emergency evacuation decision and organize the evacuation of dangerous apartment buildings in the city affected by storm No. 3, including the two apartment buildings mentioned above.
To ensure the assets of households in apartment buildings A7 and A8 in Van My ward, the Chairman of the City People's Committee assigned the People's Committee of Ngo Quyen district to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to develop plans and organize the relocation of assets of households and assign them to each household, to be completed before September 25; ensuring safety during the implementation process.
The district coordinated with Hai Phong Housing Management and Trading Company Limited to determine the volume of architectural materials that households have invested in.
The city police arranged 60 officers and soldiers with expertise and skills to coordinate with the People's Committee of Ngo Quyen district to organize the implementation of the above content.
The units request that households in apartment buildings A7, A8 and surrounding households adjacent to Van My ward proactively coordinate with the People's Committee of Ngo Quyen district to implement plans and plans to move their owned assets according to regulations. In case by the end of September 25, households do not coordinate to move their assets in the above apartment buildings, the city will not be responsible for the loss or misplacement of related assets (if any).
The Department of Construction presides over, together with the Department of Finance and Hai Phong Housing Management and Trading Company Limited, to carry out procedures for handling public assets; the plan for dismantling the project, and report to the City People's Committee.
