On July 31, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee listened to a report and gave opinions on inspecting and reviewing the proposal to use construction materials mined from specialized mineral mines to supply to related projects at Gia Binh International Airport.
The review aims to ensure the source of filling materials to serve the Gia Binh International Airport Project along with connecting infrastructure projects, resettlement areas, defense - security works and key public investment projects.
The proposed plan is to expand the scope of use of exploitation materials from three specialized mineral mines in the city; and at the same time consider adjusting exploitation capacity according to the Government's specific mechanisms and policies to meet the progress of projects.
The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee agreed in principle to use materials mined from specialized mines to supply to related projects at Gia Binh International Airport and other projects as proposed by the Party Committee of the City People's Committee. At the same time, it is required that the adjustment of operating capacity must be based on the actual needs of each project and ensure compliance with specific mechanisms and policies, and in accordance with the law.
The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee assigned the Party Committee of the City People's Committee to direct functional agencies to strictly manage the exploitation, transportation and use of minerals; prevent loss and waste, ensure traffic safety, security and order, and environmental sanitation; and at the same time urgently coordinate the implementation of tasks to meet the progress of key national projects.
