Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Anh Quan has just directed the Department of Construction to preside over and direct transport business agencies and units in the area to increase vehicles to serve the travel needs of people during Tet and the Spring Festival season of 2026. In which, focus on public passenger transport to connect and support passengers to move conveniently at traffic hubs such as railway stations, airports, bus stations, and train stations.
The Department organizes reasonable transportation, promptly meeting the increasing travel demand of people, absolutely preventing the situation of passengers not having vehicles to return to their hometowns for Tet. At the same time, strengthen inspection and supervision of transport activities, preventing the phenomenon of squeezing passengers and taking advantage of illegal fare increases.
The Department of Construction coordinates with relevant units to proactively implement solutions to ensure traffic order and safety, prevent traffic accidents, contributing to serving people to welcome the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year and participate in the 2026 Spring festival activities safely and conveniently.
Along with that, strictly manage transport activities, arrange sufficient vehicles, proactively strengthen capacity to serve people's travel needs and ensure smooth transportation of goods before, during and after Tet. Along with that, strengthen inspection and strictly handle violations in transport business, control the declaration and listing of ticket prices, prevent the transportation of prohibited goods, dangerous goods and livestock and poultry of unknown origin.
Units ensure safety conditions for vehicles, drivers, and passengers in accordance with regulations, implement traffic accident prevention measures; review and complete infrastructure, supplement signal systems, proactively divert and regulate traffic, and promptly handle congestion on key traffic routes and festival areas.
The City Police directed to strengthen forces and vehicles to patrol, control, and inspect traffic safety on highways, local roads, and passenger transport vehicles such as double-decker sleeper buses. At the same time, strictly handle violations of traffic safety and order, focusing on drastically handling violations that are the main causes of traffic accidents, such as: violations of alcohol concentration, speed, tonnage, driving in the wrong lane, lane, going against traffic flow, illegal stopping and parking, turning around, avoiding and overtaking in violation of regulations... promptly detect and prevent illegal racing, gatherings causing public disorder.
The Department of Health presides over and coordinates with the Commune People's Committee to ensure forces, vehicles, medical supplies and emergency capacity, especially on key traffic routes, areas with high traffic volume to minimize damage caused by traffic accidents. Along with that, strengthen coordination with functional forces to inspect and ensure food safety and hygiene, prevent and control epidemics in transport activities, on flights, trains and at service areas at airports, train stations, wharves, and bus stations.
