Hai Phong - The City People's Committee has just strengthened fire prevention and fighting, preventing the risk of fire and explosion from burning garbage and scrap.

Recently, in the city, there have been cases of some organizations and individuals arbitrarily burning garbage, scrap, forest cover, agricultural by-products, etc., causing smoke and dust, environmental pollution, and at the same time posing a great risk of fire and spread, affecting safety, security, and social order.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong has just given instructions, requesting the city's departments, branches, sectors and commune-level People's Committees to proactively strengthen guidance, propaganda, mobilization and dissemination of laws on fire prevention and fighting; focus on propagating measures to ensure fire safety and fighting for burning materials outside warehouses, factories and business areas.

At the same time, it is strictly forbidden acts of arbitrarily burning garbage, scrap, forest cover, agricultural by-products near or in the safety corridor of power grids, transformer stations and areas at high risk of fire and explosion. Cases of violations that cause fires and explosions must be detected and strictly handled in accordance with the provisions of law.

The City People's Committee requests units and localities to enhance their responsibility, strengthen inspection and supervision, contribute to ensuring fire prevention and fighting safety, maintaining the living environment and social order and safety in the city.

The City People's Committee assigned the City Police to monitor and urge agencies, units and localities to implement the above direction.
