On the morning of January 8, leaders of Truong Xuan ward, Tam Ky city, Quang Nam province said that the bodies of a couple had just been discovered in a burned house.
Earlier, at 1:30 a.m. the same day, local residents discovered a level 4 house in Dong Sim block, Truong Xuan ward, Tam Ky city on fire, and immediately rushed to put out the fire.
When the fire was extinguished, two bodies were found in the burned house: Mr. Nguyen Thanh T (39 years old) and his wife Nguyen Thi Kim Th (38 years old), a couple living in village 4, Tien Lap commune, Tien Phuoc district, Quang Nam province. At the scene, authorities discovered a can of gasoline.
Police also discovered that Nguyen Thanh Ph (5 years old, the victim's youngest child) had an injured hand and was taken to the hospital by local people for emergency treatment.
“According to initial information, Mr. T and Mrs. Th have 3 children. Due to conflicts in living arrangements, Mrs. Th took her youngest child to live with her mother in Dong Sim block.
On the evening of the incident, the husband from Tien Phuoc went down to his mother-in-law's house, suspected of bringing a can of gasoline to burn down the house, immolating himself and his wife, and injuring his youngest child.
At that time, the mother-in-law was working to support a sick person and escaped the accident.
