In Dong Nai province, there were 2 locations for rabies in Tan Loi commune and Loc Quang commune (Dong Phu district and Loc Ninh district, old Binh Phuoc province).
In Loc Quang commune (in Loc Ninh district, the old Binh Phuoc province), Mr. H's family raised a dog weighing about 20 kg, which had not been vaccinated against rabies. On July 25, this dog showed signs of aggression, was watery, and bit another dog and 4 neighbors.
The people surrounded and 3 days later, the dog died. The authorities then took samples for testing and determined that the dog had rabies.
Immediately after the incident, the local authorities of Loc Quang commune urgently investigated the epidemic, and at the same time took measures to vaccinate and prevent rabies in areas at high risk of rabies and surrounding areas.

Previously, in Tan Loi commune, Dong Nai province (under Dong Phu district, the old Binh Phuoc province), one person died of rabies. That is the case of Mr. N.K.H (54 years old, residing in Dong Tam commune, Dong Nai province).
Mr. N.K.H's family raises 2 dogs in the field in Thach Mang hamlet, Tan Loi commune. About a month ago, while feeding the dog, he was accidentally licked by a large dog in an open wound. On June 16, the dog showed signs of aggression, biting another family dog and a dog in a residential area to death.
Seeing that, the surrounding people beat the dog to death, then 5 people took him to make meat and eat. On July 10, Mr. N.K.H showed suspected rabies symptoms (fear of water, fear of wind, fear of sound, noise, light), so his family took him to the clinic but did not clearly diagnose him.
After many hospitalizations and treatment, on July 17, Mr. N.K.H died and tested positive for rabies virus. Meanwhile, for the 5 people who ate the above dog meat, at the time of the survey and epidemiological investigation, all 5 people were in normal health and had not recorded any symptoms of rabies.
According to records, in the two localities with rabies, a part of the people are still subjective when raising dogs and cats. There are still quite a lot of free-range dogs here and they are not muzzled. Meanwhile, in residential areas, there are many children, so there are many potential dangers.
