On the afternoon of November 6, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Khiem - Head of Phong Du Ha Commune Police said that the old woman had been lost in the deep forest for many days in the area and had been found by the Commune Police and other forces and brought home safely.
Previously, at 11:00 on November 5, Phong Du Ha Commune Police received a report from Ms. Trieu Thi Lieu (born in 2005, in Khe Dom village, Phong Du Ha commune) about her grandmother getting lost in the forest.
At about 8:00 a.m. on November 4, Ms. Dang Mui Lieu (born in 1939, residing in Khe Dom village) took a forest trip to visit a relative's house in Lang Cang village, Phong Du Ha commune.

By the evening of the same day, Ms. Trieu Thi Lieu contacted relatives in Lang Cang village and received news that Ms. Lieu had not yet gone there.
It is known that this is a rugged area, mostly hills and mountains, easily disoriented, especially without phone signal.
The family and neighbors organized a search together, and after finishing it, they reported it to the commune police force because it was dark and the terrain was difficult and dangerous, so they could not see it.

Immediately after receiving the report, the Commune Police promptly worked with the forces to establish working groups with more than 50 officers and soldiers, broadcasting the search in many directions.
At around 3:00 p.m. on November 6, the Commune Police and other forces found Ms. Dang Mui Lieu in the Nhon area of Lang Cang, about 8km from her relatives' house in the old forest.
At that time, Ms. Lieu was in a state of exhaustion (due to not eating for a long time and the cold weather), the Commune Police used a homemade stretcher to take her from the forest to Phong Du Ha Commune General Clinic for emergency care.
Up to now, Ms. Lieu's health has gradually stabilized and is currently being actively monitored and treated by doctors at the Clinic.
