Nam Ha Tinh Irrigation Company Limited has announced that the unit will increase the overflow flow of Ke Go Lake from 90m3/s to 150m3/s from 6:00 a.m. on October 31. Then, depending on the development of floods and rains, the weather will continue to adjust the discharge flow.
According to the Ha Tinh Hydrometeorological Station, due to the influence of cold air combined with high-altitude easterly wind disturbances, from the evening of October 30 to the end of November 1, the whole province will have heavy rain, some places with very heavy rain, common rainfall of 150 - 300 mm, some places over 400 mm. In particular, the rainfall in the southern coastal plains is from 200 - 400 mm, in some places over 600 mm.
From the night of November 1 to November 2, Ha Tinh is forecast to have heavy rain with rainfall from 100 - 200 mm, some places over 300 mm.
To proactively respond to floods, in addition to Ke Go Lake increasing discharge, many other reservoirs in Ha Tinh have also announced increased overflow.
Accordingly, Song Trac Lake releases 353m3/s, which can increase the discharge flow to 800m3/s; Thuong Song Tri Lake releases 50m3/s, which can be adjusted to 70 - 400m3/s; Ho Ho Hydropower Plant regulates the overflow with a flow of 150m3/s.
On the morning of October 31, in Ha Tinh, there was quite heavy rain, along with the regulation of increasing the overflow of some reservoirs, there was a risk of flooding in some communes and wards in low-lying areas downstream.

Proactive work to prevent and protect people and property from floods is being carried out by local authorities and people.
Previously, heavy rain caused localized flooding in some communes and wards in the south of Ha Tinh province on October 30. Of which, Vung Ang ward had 146 households, Ky Xuan commune had 59 households, Ky Thuong had 24 households flooded.
Vung Ang ward has evacuated 146 households/334; Ky Thuong commune 135 households/166 people in flooded areas to safety.

Some inter-village and inter-commune roads were partially flooded. In Vung Ang ward, 5 routes were flooded; Hai Ninh ward was flooded with 6 routes; Song Tri ward had 7 routes, Hoanh Son ward had 5 routes...
