Due to the impact of storm No. 1 - Wutip, Vietnam Airlines had to adjust the operating schedule on June 11 and 12 to ensure safety.

On the evening of June 11 and early morning of June 12, Vietnam Airlines had to cancel 14 flights between Hanoi and Da Nang due to the impact of bad weather. In addition, flights VN7167 and VN7165 from Hanoi to Da Nang had to change direction to land at Cam Ranh or return to Hanoi because they did not meet the conditions for operation at this airport.

At the same time, 7 flights to Da Nang had to wait, affecting the route, causing 32 other flights to be delayed from 20 minutes to 1 hour and 5 minutes. In addition, at Phu Bai airport (Hue), bad weather also affected the operation, many flights to and from had to wait or depart late.

In order to respond promptly and ensure the safety of passengers and crew, Vietnam Airlines has proactively adjusted its operating plan. On the afternoon of June 12, the airline plans to increase flights and arrange wide-body aircraft on the Hanoi - Da Nang route to serve affected passengers.

Vietnam Airlines said it had to change operations due to force majeure weather factors and hoped to receive sympathy from passengers. The flight time may continue to be adjusted according to the development of the storm. The updated information will be announced by the airline through the media and contacted in the passenger's booking documents.

Currently, the 2025 storm season has begun, which could change passenger travel plans and affect airlines' punctuality indexes. However, the aviation industry always puts safety first, in which absolute safety for passengers and crew is the number one priority.

Vietnam Airlines recommends that passengers wear seat belts throughout the flight, especially in complicated weather conditions. Proactively installing seat belts, even when the signal lights are turned off, is an important measure to help reduce the risk if the aircraft encounters air disturbances.
