On the morning of June 12, the leader of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command said that the unit had mobilized ships 319 and 363 to urgently rescue 3 fishing boats of Quang Nam fishermen fishing in the waters of Ly Son and Cu Lao Cham.
At 7:30 a.m. on June 11, fishing boat QNa 92954 TS captained by Mr. Nguyen Van Sau (Dien Ban town, Quang Nam) had an engine failure while operating 12 nautical miles northeast of Ly Son island (Quang Ngai), in wind conditions of level 7-8, waves 2-3m high. Coast Guard Ship 319 on duty 60 nautical miles away immediately received a mobile rescue order.

While approaching the scene, at 4:50 p.m. the same day, Ship 319 continued to receive a distress signal from Ship QNa 92032 TS, which also had a broken engine near the location of Ship QNa 92954 TS. By 5:50 p.m., the rescue ship had reached both vehicles.
Due to big waves, rough seas and thunderstorms, making ropes and towing was difficult, and the towing work was not completed until 8:20 p.m. By noon today, June 12, both fishing vessels had been safely towed to the wind shelter anchorage area on Ly Son Island and handed over to Ly Son Border Guard Station.
Similarly, at 10:00 p.m. on June 11, the Coast Guard continued to receive information that fishing boat DNa 91107 TS captained by Mr. Nguyen Van Ung had a broken gearbox and water overflowed into the holdings while operating 18 nautical miles northeast of Cu Lao Cham Island (Quang Nam).
Ship 363 of Coast Guard Region 2 immediately mobilely approached in dangerous weather conditions. By 2:45 a.m. on June 12, the ship had reached the distressed vehicle and towed to Cu Lao Cham Island. It is expected that this afternoon, fishing boat DNa 91107 TS will be brought to safety.
