On November 7, many tourism and coastal food and beverage businesses such as My Khe and Man Thai damaged many tables and chairs, broke coconut roofs, etc. due to the impact of big waves and strong winds from the recent storm No. 13.

On Da Nang coastal tourist streets, big waves continuously pat the shore, washing up the road with strong winds and thick sea sand covering coastal routes such as Vo Nguyen Giap and Hoang Sa.

Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Tam, manager of a business store in My Khe beach, said: "Due to the impact of storm No. 13, big waves and strong winds continuously hit the shore.
Although the equipment, tables and chairs, and bars were carefully covered before, they were still severely damaged, about 40% of the furniture in the restaurant was affected. After the storm, staff had to urgently clean up and serve in time to welcome tourists back."
A large amount of sand and waste from big waves has covered many coastal tourist streets, making it difficult for people and tourists to travel.

Early in the morning, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong, manager of a store on Vo Nguyen Giap Street, was surprised to see the sea sand surrounding and covering the yard about 45cm thick. Previously, all the furniture inside was covered and carefully preserved, so there was no damage.
"The staff and everyone started cleaning from 8am to 2pm to push all the sand and garbage in front of the restaurant out. This morning, the number of customers is still less than usual because the restaurant is still messy in front, the sand and garbage have not been cleaned, so tourists are afraid to stop by, said Ms. Phuong.

Local forces and officers and soldiers quickly arrived, urgently collecting sand and clearing trash. Many motor vehicles, cranes, and excavators were mobilized to speed up the cleanup work.
Currently, garbage collection, sand clearance and landscape restoration in the coastal area of Da Nang are still being urgently deployed to soon bring tourism activities back to normal.
