On the afternoon of September 19, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue (PCTT&TKCN) of Thua Thien Hue province said that on the same afternoon, after making landfall in the provinces of Quang Binh - Quang Tri, storm No. 4 weakened into a tropical depression.
The provincial Hydrometeorological Station has issued the final bulletin on the heavy rain in the province, accordingly, it is forecasted that in this evening and tonight, Thua Thien Hue province will have rain, some places will have moderate rain, heavy rain with rainfall from 20 - 60mm, some places 80mm. This evening and tonight, Thua Thien Hue province is no longer affected by the weakened tropical depression from storm No. 4.
According to statistics, the whole province has evacuated 283 households/487 people, of which: On September 18, Nam Dong district evacuated 34 households/119 people to safe locations. Phong Dien district organized the evacuation of 149 households/368 people to safe places. Currently, all of these people have returned home safely.
Regarding the damage, according to the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Thua Thien Hue province, in Phu Vang district, on September 18, a tornado occurred in Phu Ho and Phu Xuan communes, causing 1 person to be slightly injured and receiving first aid at Phu Ho medical station; the roofs and outbuildings of 12 households were blown off.
