The project to invest in the construction of Ring Road 1, Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section has a total length of about 2,274km, with a cross-section scale of 50m.
The first point intersects with Cat Linh - La Thanh - Yen Lang road at Hoang Cau; The end point is at Voi Phuc intersection.
The project has a total investment of more than 7,210 billion VND, invested by the Hanoi Civil Engineering Construction Investment Project Management Board.
The total recovered area is about 153. 341m2, related to 1,983 households and organizations in Dong Da and Ba Dinh districts before (now O Cho Dua, Giang Vo and Lang wards).
The project implementation period is from 2018-2020, but it will not be until the end of 2025 that the wards will complete site clearance to hand over to the investor to implement the project.
According to the Hanoi People's Committee, for the construction package of the road and 2 overpasses at Lang Ha - Giang Vo intersection started on January 9, 2026, the contractor has completed demolition, cleared the ground, transported all waste, and moved 357 green trees on the entire route.
Currently, the construction progress of the road has reached about 50% of the volume. Drainage, technical trenches, roadbed, infrastructure movement, electricity, water, and information items are being implemented in a rolling manner, including holidays; asphalt concrete has been paved for the section from Km2+500 to Km2+816, technically cleared before January 15, 2026.
On the route, there are two overpasses at the Lang Ha and Nguyen Chi Thanh intersections that are also being accelerated.
To date, Lang Ha overpass has completed 6/6 piers, reaching 50% of the volume.
The Nguyen Chi Thanh overpass has reached about 20%, main pillars are under construction and are preparing to enter the main span construction phase from June 2026.
According to the expected plan, the road will be completed and put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2026.
However, the project still has some difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process.
Accordingly, the urban railway construction investment project No. 5, Van Cao - Ngoc Khanh - Lang - Hoa Lac section, experienced conflicts and overlaps in many construction items (according to the approved design drawing) when intersecting with the Ring Road 1 project, Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section, at the Nguyen Chi Thanh intersection.
The intersection conflict between the two projects will affect the progress of Ring Road 1 project at Nguyen Chi Thanh intersection. Accordingly, the scope and volume of Ring Road 1 project are changed because the completion of this intersection is reduced; the implementation time of Ring Road 1 project may be prolonged; the design of Ring Road 1 project may have to be adjusted.
To ensure the project completion progress in accordance with the direction of the City Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the City People's Committee Party Committee assigned the City People's Committee to continue to direct the city's departments, agencies, and branches to promptly resolve some difficulties and obstacles related to the project at the request of the investor.
