On Ring Road 1 (Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section) in Hanoi, two large direct overpasses will be built at the Lang Ha - De La Thanh and Nguyen Chi Thanh - De La Thanh intersections.
These are two areas that often have traffic congestion, especially during rush hour.
Each bridge is about 250m long, 18m wide with 4 lanes, expected to solve the congestion that has lasted for many years at these traffic hotspots.
This is an important item in the Ring Road 1 project, more than 2.2 km long, playing a role in enhancing connectivity and shortening travel time between central areas of the capital.
According to the reporter's records on August 11, at the Nguyen Chi Thanh - De La Thanh overpass, the site clearance work is sluggish, and only a part has been cleared.

Inside the land surrounded by corrugated iron, garbage and construction waste are piled up, causing dust every time vehicles pass by.

Ms. Vu Thi Hong (residing on Nguyen Chi Thanh Street) expressed her indignation: "Sometimes I see a few groups of workers coming to work, but I don't quite implement it, the area has become shabby all the time".
Meanwhile, at the Lang Ha - De La Thanh overpass location, some items have been started. Excavators and excavators have been gathered and workers are constructing project items.

It is known that up to now, the contractor has constructed 1 T1 pillar of Lang Ha overpass; cast 766/1,197 technicalane components; implemented the construction of technicalane in the O Cho Dua ward (new).
The Ring Road 1 project has a total investment of nearly VND 7,200 billion, of which the construction cost is about VND 627 billion, but the site clearance cost is up to more than VND 5,818 billion.

This is the number that makes the route known as "the most expensive road on the planet".
Previously, at the question-and-answer session of the 25th session of the Hanoi People's Council held on July 9, Director of the Department of Construction Nguyen Phi Thuong admitted that this is a key, complicated and prolonged project, especially in the site clearance stage.
Mr. Nguyen Phi Thuong said that after stabilizing the apparatus from the process of rearranging administrative units according to the 2-level urban government model, the Project Steering Committee and the new wards will make a detailed plan, striving to complete site clearance in the fourth quarter of 2025.
When completed, the Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section will not only help reduce pressure on the De La Thanh route, which was jammed during rush hour, but also significantly improve connectivity and traffic capacity for key traffic routes in Hanoi.
