On the morning of July 21, according to information from the People's Committee of Hung Thinh commune (Dong Nai city), a passenger car fire on National Highway 1 just occurred in the area, killing 7 people.
According to initial information, at about 2:30 am on the same day, a passenger car with license plate 50E-447. XX was traveling in the direction of Dong Nai - Ho Chi Minh City, when it reached the area of Hung Thinh commune, the driver discovered that the front of the car suddenly caught fire, so he stopped the vehicle to put out the fire.
The fire then flared up fiercely, quickly engulfing the passenger car. Some people managed to escape, but many victims were trapped. At the time of the incident, there were many passengers on the car.
Detecting the fire, people brought fire extinguishers and available vehicles to support, but failed because the fire spread too quickly.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police Department of Dong Nai City Police dispatched many officers, soldiers and vehicles to put out the fire, rescue and divert traffic.
Currently, functional agencies are investigating the cause of the fire.
