In the early morning of September 29, storm No. 10 Bualoi made landfall, causing fierce gusts of wind in Hao Nam village, Hoang Phu commune (old Hoang Quy), Thanh Hoa province, causing hundreds of households to have their roofs blown off, many fences, doors collapsed, and trees broken in large numbers.

People said that at around 3am, the wind started to get strong, knocking down doors, walls and many roofs, leaving behind a scene of devastation.

We have never seen such a scene. In so many years, no storm has been as intense. This wind must be twice as strong as previous storms" - Mr. Le Dinh Thang (69 years old), a local resident, shared.

According to initial records, almost all households in the village were affected: roofs blown off, corrugated iron, doors damaged, houses collapsed... Along the corrugated iron roof road, many cars parked on the roadside had broken glass doors, distorted; shops along the road, walls built with blast, and the scene was like after a bomb.

Hao Nam village is located next to National Highway 1A, where the storm swept through the front line, causing serious damage. People said that although they have proactively put up strings and shields to prevent the storm, they cannot withstand the strong wind.

On the same morning, in Hoang Phu commune, many houses, factories, and companies were swept away by the storm, causing heavy damage.

Mr. Vu Van Chuong, residing in Hoang Phu commune, Thanh Hoa province, said that his family had lost everything. The storm collapsed the gate and walls of the house, and the heavy rain damaged all the handicrafts in the house.
