After more than a month of construction, the Ky Cung riverside park project (section from Dong Kinh Hotel to Ky Cung Temple) and public parking lot in Luong Van Tri ward are gradually taking shape.
According to PV's investigation, the project has a total investment of more than 51.6 billion VND, invested by the Lang Son Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, implemented in the period 2025-2026 with local budget capital.

In which, Ky Cung Riverside Park is built on an area of about 13,363 m2, including fields, outdoor stages, green trees, lawns, community service houses and a system of stone-paved walking paths along the riverbank, stone railings, lighting, synchronous water supply and drainage.
The public parking lot project in Luong Van Tri ward has a scale of about 3, 169 m2, arranging parking spaces for cars and motorbikes, along with a system of green trees, lighting and complete technical infrastructure.

Regarding progress, the demolition item at the riverside park has been completed. Old works such as concrete parking lot foundations, level 4 houses, temporary houses, old railings, power poles, drainage ditches... have been dismantled, creating a clean ground for construction deployment.
The construction and equipment installation package was started on December 31, 2025. To date, the volume implemented at the park item has reached about 60%.
The riverside pedestrian path has basically been paved with stone, reaching over 90% of the volume.

According to PV's records in the first days of the new year, the construction atmosphere at the construction site has begun to become bustling, at the central highlight of the Nguyen Tri Phuong intersection with road 17-10 area, the steps, decorative frames and flower beds of the landscape sub-area have been completed, and surface finishing and lighting installation are underway.
However, the public parking lot item in Luong Van Tri ward cannot be demolished because the 3-story Single House belonging to the Western Inter-agency House has not been handed over.
This is the biggest obstacle currently, directly affecting the overall progress of the project.

According to the plan, some items in the area adjacent to Ky Cung Temple will be completed before mid-February to serve the Launching Ceremony of the Binh Ngo Spring Tree Planting Festival 2026 and the Ky Cung - Ta Phu Temple Festival.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Duc - Deputy Director of Lang Son Provincial Construction Project Management Board said that the Board is currently requesting the Department of Finance to allocate temporary capital in 2026 to disburse the implemented volume for construction contractors.

Along with that, it is proposed that the Provincial People's Committee consider directing the Department of Finance to take the lead in handing over the site of the Western unit agency building to the investor in the first quarter of 2026 to carry out the construction of the parking lot item in Luong Van Tri ward to ensure that the project is completed according to the plan approved by the Provincial People's Committee.
In the midst of the city's urban embellishment, the Ky Cung riverside park is expected to become a new landscape highlight, expanding community living space for people.
However, for the project to reach the finish line on schedule, removing site bottlenecks and accelerating disbursement is an urgent requirement in the coming time.
