Strengthening connectivity, supporting jobs
On December 14, 2025, the No. 2 drug rehabilitation facility of Phu Tho province coordinated with the Vinh Phuc Employment Service Center to organize a conference to disseminate employment policies, provide consultation, and introduce jobs to students on drug rehabilitation, and prepare for community reintegration.
Speaking at the conference, Major Do Van Nuoi - Head of Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 2 of Phu Tho province - emphasized that employment plays an important role in the process of reintegration into the community of people after drug rehabilitation, helping to stabilize their lives and prevent relapse.
In addition to treatment, education and management, Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 2 always focuses on vocational training, career counseling, life skills training and enhancing connections with authorities to create conditions for students to participate in the labor market soon.
At the conference, representatives of the Vinh Phuc Employment Service Center disseminated the Party and State's policies and guidelines on labor and employment; Providing information on the labor market, recruitment needs of businesses; Vocational training consultation, labor export and employment support policies for people after retirement.

At the conference, the trainees discussed and focused on practical issues related to recruitment conditions, business requirements, and the ability to adapt to the working environment after drug rehabilitation.
Trainees are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills and information about jobs, thereby proactively choosing directions suitable to their abilities and aspirations; Contributing to improving the effectiveness of community reintegration support, preventing relapse and ensuring social order and safety.
Similarly, after taking on the task of State management of drug addiction treatment, with a proactive and drastic spirit, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Police force has also gradually completed the process, strengthened management and support for drug addicts.
Many solutions are being implemented such as applying a national population database to manage drug addicts, improving the capacity of health workers, improving facilities and expanding the model of treatment with methadone replacement;
Coordinate with the health sector and the local government to review, count, and determine drug addiction status; Organize testing, assessment, and prepare records to send addicts to compulsory drug rehabilitation facilities in accordance with the provisions of law.
Not only does it do a good job of drug addiction treatment, but the management and support of people after drug addiction treatment is also focused on. The grassroots police force has actively coordinated with local sectors and unions to strengthen inspection, supervision, propaganda, and mobilization of people after drug addiction to stay away from drugs and stabilize their lives.

Lieutenant Colonel Trieu Binh Luan - Deputy Head of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department (Thai Nguyen Provincial Police) - said that from July 2025 to now, the facilities have received, managed, and treated nearly 1,000 drug addicts, many students are conscious of training, complying with regulations, actively participating in vocational training classes, production labor, and psychological counseling activities. Rehabilitation facilities do not allow complicated incidents to occur, students can feel secure in treatment, studying and working, and drug rehabilitation work is carried out safely and effectively.
In the coming time, Thai Nguyen province will continue to promote the work of reviewing, counting, preparing records of drug addicts, improving the effectiveness of coordination between specialized agencies and local authorities in determining drug addiction status and organizing compulsory drug rehabilitation.
Along with that, drug rehabilitation facilities will be invested in infrastructure, equipment, and human resources, better meeting the requirements of treatment, education, and vocational training for students. In addition, the province also focuses on post-rehabilitation work, increasing support for people after retirement to have stable jobs, accessing preferential loans, thereby creating conditions for them to rebuild their lives and reintegrate into society.
Strengthening trust, helping drug addicts quickly integrate into the community
Drug rehabilitation facility No. 1 (under the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department - Hai Phong City Police) recently organized a training course on basic knowledge of politics and drug laws for 100 students participating in the rehabilitation program at the facility.
This is a meaningful activity, organized in accordance with the direction of the Ministry of Public Security and the City Police to raise awareness, nurture ideals, help students strengthen their confidence and determination to actively reintegrate into the community.
Equipping students with knowledge is one of the important pillars to help them gradually change their habits, thinking habits, practice positive behavior, and improve their social adaptation skills - a key factor in preventing relapse. When understanding correctly, thinking correctly and having clear living goals, students will be more confident in their journey of integration, proactively overcoming temptations and risks of drug reuse after returning to their family and community.
The class is a practical concern of the Party, State and police force for drug addiction treatment. In addition to management tasks, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department and Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 1 always focus on the humanitarian factor, helping drug addicts not only give up addictive substances but also receive comprehensive support for recovery in awareness, ethics and will, helping them open a new journey.

Also in December 2025, at the No. 1 Drug Rehabilitation Center of Can Tho City, Can Tho City Police in coordination with the City General Hospital and the City Youth Employment Service Center also organized the program "Renessaying a Trust" for students at the center.
The "Rebirth of a Trust" program is an activity to concretize the policies of the Party, State and Ministry of Public Security on strengthening drug prevention and control. At the same time, effectively implement Directive No. 40-CT/TU of the Standing Committee of the Can Tho City Party Committee on strengthening the Party's leadership in drug addiction management.
The program affirms the determination to reduce drug abuse, build a safe and healthy living environment; demonstrating the companionship and deep concern of society, authorities at all levels and Can Tho City Police for those who have made mistakes. This is an opportunity for students to firmly reintegrate into the community, return to their family and society with a new mindset, and live a useful life.
In addition, doctors and nurses at Can Tho General Hospital also conducted medical examinations, health consultations and discussed the topic "Prevention, control of relapse and mental health care after retirement".
Also to pave the way for the future of students, the Can Tho City Youth Employment Service Center has sent psychological consultants, career guidance, introducing occupations suitable for health, abilities and policies to support employment and start businesses for people after retirement.
