At noon on September 26, just half a day after Lao Dong Newspaper published an article "Hiring a unit without a Food Safety and Hygiene (FSH) certificate to cook for students" reflecting on the fact that An Thinh Trading and Service Company, which had not been granted a Food Safety and Hygiene certificate by the authorities, was still hired by Song Da Primary School to cook for students, the leaders of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province issued urgent instructions related to this matter.
Accordingly, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Chuong assigned the People's Committee of Hoa Binh city to direct, review and handle according to its authority the content reflected by Lao Dong Newspaper.
At the same time, promptly inform Lao Dong Newspaper according to regulations and report the settlement results to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper received information from parents about Song Da Primary School (located in Tan Thinh Ward, Hoa Binh City) hiring a unit without a Food Safety and Hygiene certificate to cook for nearly 1,000 students from the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year until now.
Speaking with reporters, Ms. Pham Thi Hue - Principal of Song Da Primary School - confirmed that she is signing a service contract to provide meals for students at the school with An Thinh Consulting and Trading Service Joint Stock Company - Hoa Binh Branch (headquartered at Van Phu Urban Area, Phu La Ward, Ha Dong District, Hanoi City) and this unit has not been granted a Food Safety and Hygiene certificate.
Regarding the Food Safety and Hygiene Branch of Hoa Binh province, this unit also confirmed that An Thinh Consulting and Trading Service Joint Stock Company has not been granted a Food Safety and Hygiene certificate.
"The unit has received the application for a certificate and is in the process of reviewing the application," informed a representative of the Food Safety and Hygiene Department of Hoa Binh province.
