On December 3, the authorities are investigating and clarifying the cause of the fire at a fishing boat (wooden rafts, small types) that occurred in the coastal area of Bac Nha Trang ward (Khanh Hoa), near Nguyen Co Thach street.
According to initial information, the fire broke out at 9:30 p.m. on December 2. People at the scene said the fire suddenly started in the fishing boat cabin area.
At the time of the incident, there were strong winds at sea that caused the fire to spread rapidly, engulfing the entire fleet in a short time. Black smoke and explosions from flammable items rose to the surface.
As soon as the fire was discovered, fishermen and local people shouted and organized a fire extinguishing.
At the time of the fire, there was no one on the boat. The fire burned down the cabin, machinery, fishing equipment, fishing gear and many other properties. The extent of damage is being counted.
