On April 19, the Communications Department (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Thap province) informed that after a period of quarantine at Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens, 6 Red-crowned Cranes have completed quarantine and quarantine.

Attending the announcement ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City were Provincial Party Secretary Le Quoc Phong, Ms. wiraka Moodhitaporn - Consul General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Minh Tuan - Head of the Executive Committee of the Red-crowned Cranes Conservation and Development Project, Ms. Huynh Thu Thao - Chairman of the Board of Members of Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens One Member Limited Liability Company and Vietnamese and Thai experts.
According to Mr. Huynh Minh Tuan, up to now, the 6 red-crowned cranes are in good health, stable, and qualified for transportation to Tram Chim National Park. The Cranes will be raised, cared for, and reproduced in order to restore the Cranes and release them into the natural habitat in Tram Chim National Park, as the Project's slogan is "Bringing the Cranes back".

These are the first "ambassador" in the Cooperation Program between the People's Committee of Dong Thap province, the International Cranes Association, the Vietnam Zoo Association, and the Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens with partners on the Thai side.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee thanked Ms. wiraka Moodhitaporn - Consul General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City for accompanying Dong Thap in the recent past, which is a bridge for the province with Thai partners to jointly receive the results of today's achievements.

Tomorrow (October 20), the People's Committee of Dong Thap province will organize a program to receive Red-crowned Cranes at Tram Chim National Park (Tam Nong district).
