On June 19, in An Phu district, the delegation of An Giang province (Vietnam) led by Mr. Ngo Cong Thuc - Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee - held talks with the delegation of Kandal province ( Kingdom of Cambodia) led by Mr. Nop Dara - Deputy Governor of Kandal province - about the opening of Khanh An - prek Chrey border gate.
After a survey of the situation and discussion at the working session, the two provinces agreed and recommended that the competent authorities of the two countries consider the decision: Opening the Khanh An - prek Chrey border gate.
As planned, on the Vietnamese side, the border gate is located at Ong Xuyen ferry terminal (Ba Hoanh), in Thanh Phu hamlet, Khanh An commune, An Phu district, An Giang province. On the Cambodian side, the prek Chrey border gate is located in Khna Tangyu hamlet, prek Chrey ward, sampov Puon city, Kandal province.
