At 7:30 PM tonight (May 18), the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai city will organize a ceremony to announce the National Assembly's Resolution on the establishment of Dong Nai city.
According to the program, the ceremony will announce and present the National Assembly's Resolution on the establishment of Dong Nai city. Along with that is an art program, high-altitude fireworks display to celebrate the establishment of Dong Nai city and will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television and Dong Nai Television.

On May 18, students from preschool to high school in 10 wards of Dong Nai city (Ho Nai, Tran Bien, Bien Hoa, Tan Trieu, Trang Dai, Tam Hiep, Long Binh, Long Hung, Phuoc Tan and Tam Phuoc) were also off school for the purpose of ensuring traffic diversion, serving the organization of events to celebrate the anniversary of the National Assembly's Resolution on the establishment of Dong Nai city.
During the ceremony to announce the National Assembly's Resolution on May 18, Dong Nai also announced a temporary road ban on some roads.
From 1:00 PM - 2:15 PM, temporary traffic is prohibited on routes including: the area under the overpass at Vung Tau intersection, Le Van Duyet street, Dang Van Tron street, Nguyen Thanh Phuong street, Ha Huy Giap street (section from Rach Cat bridge to Ha Huy Giap - Vo Thi Sau intersection).
From 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, vehicles are temporarily prohibited from circulating on Ha Huy Giap street, 30/4 street (section from Bien Hung park to Vuon Mit gas station), Nguyen Ai Quoc street (section from Gate 1 to Luu Van Viet street), Pham Van Thuan street (section from May Cua intersection to Vuon Mit gas station).
From 6:30 PM to 8 PM, traffic is temporarily prohibited on Nguyen Ai Quoc street (section from Gate 1 to Luu Van Viet street), 30-4 street (section from Bien Hung park to Vuon Mit gas station), Pham Van Thuan street (section from May Cua intersection to Vuon Mit gas station), Ha Huy Giap street, Nguyen Thanh Phuong street, Dang Van Tron street, Le Van Duyet street and the area under the overpass of Vung Tau intersection and the road to Huong Lo 2 - National Highway 51.
From 9:30 PM to 11 PM, temporary ban on Huong Lo 2 - National Highway 51 routes to the area under the overpass of Vung Tau intersection.
At restricted road locations, traffic police will regulate traffic at the scene and guide vehicles to proactively choose alternative routes that are appropriate.
According to Resolution No. 30/2026/QH16 of the National Assembly, Dong Nai city was officially established from April 30, 2026, becoming the 7th city in the country, with a natural area of more than 12,700 km2, a population size of nearly 5 million people, with 95 commune-level administrative units including 33 wards and 62 communes.
