Accordingly, as of 10:00 AM on the same day (January 3), the national traffic police force has made records of handling over 11,000 cases of vehicle drivers violating traffic laws.
Representatives of the Traffic Police Department informed and statistically analyzed the national traffic accident situation on the same day, with 35 cases causing 16 deaths and 27 injuries. Compared to the same period in 2025, a decrease in all 3 criteria, a decrease of 20 cases, a decrease of 14 deaths and a decrease of 2 injuries. Notably, no traffic accidents occurred on the railway and inland waterway routes.
Through patrol and control work, handling violations, the local police force has inspected, detected and handled 11,590 traffic violations; temporarily seized 116 cars, 3,605 motorbikes, and 183 other vehicles; revoked 404 driver's licenses of all kinds; deducted points from driver's licenses in 2,119 cases.
In which, there were 3,472 cases of alcohol concentration violations; 1,966 cases of speed violations; 111 cases of carrying overloaded goods; 57 cases of exceeding the limit size; 4 cases of carrying more people than prescribed; 5 cases of picking up and dropping off passengers in the wrong places; 98 cases of using phones and other electronic devices when controlling vehicles and some other violations.
On the same day, the driving license testing work, the Police of 6/34 localities organized for 4,763 students to register, reaching 3,043/4,180; Receiving and renewing driving licenses were 310 dossiers, of which 212/213 dossiers were directly received through the online public service portal.
Regarding the registration of VNeTraffic App: The total number of registered accounts is 3,774,448, an increase of 26,751 accounts; of which, level 1 account is 874,723, a decrease of 2,546 accounts; level 2 account is 2,899,725, an increase of 29,297 accounts.
