Individuals who violate traffic laws will be fined up to 75 million VND

The maximum fine for violations in the field of road traffic for individuals is 75 million VND and for organizations is 150 million VND.

The Government has just issued Decree No. 336/2025/ND-CP regulating administrative sanctions for violations in road operations.

According to the Decree, the maximum fine for road operations in the field of road traffic (TTDB) for individuals is 75 million VND and for organizations is 150 million VND.

For violations of regulations on use and exploitation within the land area for road infrastructure, the fine is from VND 500,000 to VND 20 million.

For violations of electronic payment for administrative procedures and road toll stations, the Decree stipulates a fine of VND3 million to VND5 million for individuals who commit one of the following violations: Arbitrarily transferring the end card from one vehicle to another; destroying, forging, erasing data or interfering with the end card content; opening or maintaining an anonymous or impersonating traffic account.

Fines from VND 10 million to VND 20 million for individuals who commit one of the following violations: Issuing road toll collection documents to the wrong subjects, at the right value for each subject to pay at toll stations; Breaking into or trying to access the electronic payment system of the collection and payment system; destroying and stealing data of the electronic payment system of the collection and payment system; illegally changing the software program and electronic data used in electronic payments of the collection and payment system.

Fine from 1 million VND to 2 million VND for committing one of the following violations:

- Driving a taxi without a tolller (for vehicles registered to use a tolller) or having one but not in accordance with regulations or having one but not using a tolller to calculate fees as requested by passengers or intervening to adjust the fee displayed on the tolller;

- Driving a taxi using charging software without a device on the taxi to connect directly with passengers according to regulations;

- Driving a taxi without using charging software (for vehicles registered to use charging software) or using charging software that does not meet the prescribed requirements;

- Driving a passenger transport vehicle on a fixed route to collect a ticket fee higher than the ticket price declared and listed according to regulations.

For violations of regulations on road transport and road transport support services, the Decree stipulates a fine of VND 500,000 to VND 1 million for violations that do not post the regulations, service price, name and phone number of the competent state management agency at the parking lot as prescribed.

Fine up to 3 million VND if not exempted from ticket prices for policy beneficiaries.

Using a car with 8 seats or more to do taxi business will be fined up to 5 million VND.

Decree No. 336/2025/ND-CP takes effect from March 1, 2026.
