On the morning of August 30, at the launching ceremony of the "Joining Vietnam to Advance" event in 2026 with the whole country, more than 3,200 people at the main point in Quang Tri province wearing red and yellow star flag shirts participated in walking 2km in the area of Bao Ninh Sea Square and Vo Nguyen Giap street, Dong Hoi ward.
From 5:30 am, thousands of people from agencies, units, armed forces and wards in the northern central area of Quang Tri province were present at Bao Ninh Sea Square to participate in the program.
After the starting signal, thousands of people began a 2-km walk. The group walked on Tran Hung Dao street for about 100m, then turned into Vo Nguyen Giap street - a 60m wide road running along Bao Ninh peninsula, then turned left to return to the finish line at the starting gate area.
At the same time at the main point, all communes, wards, and special zones in Quang Tri province simultaneously organized the walking program "Joining Vietnam to Advance", attracting more than 10,000 officials, party members and people to participate.
The program "Joining Vietnam to Advance" not only creates a vibrant atmosphere towards the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2nd, but also spreads the spirit of health training, strengthening cohesion in the community.
The organizing committee hopes that through this activity, it will continue to promote the strength of national unity, promote the movement "All people practice physical exercise following the example of the great Uncle Ho"; create cohesion between cadres, party members, the People's Police force, the People's Army and the people.
Each step in the program also contributes to encouraging walking habits, choosing environmentally friendly modes of transportation, raising awareness about emission reduction, towards the Net Zero goal and sustainable development.
