During the day, the ward mobilized more than 200 people who are officials and civil servants of agencies, units, socio-political organizations in the ward, security and order protection forces at the grassroots level, Do Son Border Guard Station, Ward Police of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 3, people from residential groups to participate.
Forces have focused on clearing, treating ground cover, and clearing fallen and dead trees affected by storms in the North and West of the 46-point elevation, with a total area of about 3.95 hectares. This is an area with complex terrain, many sections have low comfort, 10 to 60 meters away from the concrete road, so transportation is mainly done by hand. After collection, the trees and forest materials were moved onto the internal road by human resources and brought to a safe gathering location.
Through the launching ceremony, the local government hopes to continue to promote propaganda work, raising awareness of organizations, individuals and people about the importance of forest protection and forest fire prevention. At the same time, it calls on the entire community to join hands to fulfill their responsibility for forest management, care, protection and development, contributing to building an increasingly green, clean, beautiful and sustainable locality.
Previously, at the meeting of the 40th week of 2025, the People's Committee of Hai Phong City, the city leaders directed the Department of Agriculture and Environment to coordinate with Do Son ward and communes, wards, and special areas with forests to urgently review the total area of forest with fallen trees due to the impact of the storm to count the number, collect, clean up immediately, ensure aesthetics and prevent forest fires, to be completed before October 31.
