More than 260 tons of goods were brought to the disaster area in Bac Kan

More than 260 tons of goods and necessities have been received by Bac Kan province and delivered to people in areas affected by natural disasters and damage caused by the recent storm No. 3.

On October 29, information from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Bac Kan province said that this unit has transferred 33 shipments of goods (equivalent to 263.4 tons) to distribute to districts and cities affected by the recent storm No. 3.

The above goods include 79.5 tons of rice and 183.85 tons of general goods such as mineral water, instant food, milk, necessities and essential items.

In addition, agencies, units and members of the Fatherland Front of Bac Kan province also mobilized, received support and distributed goods to people in flood-affected areas with a total value of about 7 billion VND.

As of October 20, 2024, the Bac Kan Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has received support funds and registration information for the provincial relief fund in the amount of VND 87.4 billion.

Of which, more than 40 billion VND was transferred from the Central Relief Fund; the Vietnam Fatherland Front in districts and cities also received 5.4 billion VND and allocated and provided direct support in localities according to needs and actual situations.

Statistics on the damage caused by storm No. 3 in Bac Kan province recently showed that more than 2,300 houses were damaged and flooded... more than 2,200 hectares of crops were damaged, many traffic and irrigation works were eroded, the total estimated damage was nearly 900 billion VND.

Up to now, some areas in the province are at risk of landslides, many households have to evacuate to ensure safety.
