Previously, at around 4:30 p.m. on July 15, Ms. Xa Thi T (born in 1984) and her son Xa H.A (born in 2010), residing in Trung Nua hamlet, Duc Nhan commune, went to the farm about 1,500m from home to take care of the ducks. At this time, there was heavy rain in the area, water from upstream suddenly poured down, creating a strong flood, sweeping away both mother and child.

Fortunately, Xa H.A was able to cling to the water taxiway rope in time and was discovered and saved by local people. Ms. Xa Thi T was swept away by floodwaters and went missing.

Currently, search conditions are still facing many difficulties due to strong floods, deep water and many large, dangerous streams.

However, the search is still being maintained continuously, and the authorities are always on duty to handle any arising situations.
