On the morning of June 25, information from the scene of the forest fire on hill 74, Hai Binh ward, Thanh Hoa province said that functional forces are still making efforts to cordon off and control the fire.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Le Trong Tai - Head of the Fire and Rescue Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, on the night of June 24 and early morning of June 25, police, military, forest rangers, militia and self-defense forces and local people continuously deployed forest fire fighting plans.
However, firefighting work faced many difficulties due to the complex terrain of Hill 74 area, many dangerous locations, and specialized fire trucks could not access it. Along with that, hot weather and strong southwest winds made the fire even more complicated.

Some fire locations have been controlled, but when encountering wind, the fire flared up again, forcing functional forces to continue to stretch themselves to extinguish the fire.
Until the morning of the same day, the fire continued at some deep abyss locations. This is an area with winding and dangerous terrain, making it difficult to open firebreaks to cordon off and control the spread of fire.
Faced with the above situation, functional forces organized remote zoning, focusing on preventing the fire from spreading to other areas. At the points where the fire was controlled, the fire fighting force continued to arrange people and vehicles to be on duty, preventing the fire from re-emerging.
In some lower fire locations, functional forces have connected pipes, sprayed water directly to extinguish the fire, and at the same time prevented the fire from spreading in strong wind conditions.

At the scene on the morning of June 25, more than 500 officers, soldiers of the armed forces, forest rangers and local people are still participating in rescuing the incident. Firefighting work continues to be urgently deployed to limit damage caused by forest fires.
Currently, the cause of the fire and the affected forest area are being further verified and statistically analyzed by functional agencies.
