On the morning of December 5, in Da Lat city, the City People's Committee opened the program "Street Flower Space" and "International Flower and Ornamental Plant Exhibition".
This special event is part of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival with the theme "Da Lat Flowers - Symphony of Colors".
This is a key activity, contributing to promoting the Da Lat flower brand and honoring the unique culture and art of this highland region.
This year's event attracted the participation of 196 units, with more than 3,000 bonsai and ornamental plants, nearly 300,000 flower pots, and more than 2,000 orchid works and new flower varieties.
In particular, more than 500,000 flower pots are elaborately decorated, creating 20 unique miniature landscapes at prominent locations such as Le Dai Hanh Street, Ong Dao Bridge, Yersin Park, Xuan Huong Lake...
These flower spaces not only have brilliant beauty but are also associated with the image of the peaceful and hospitable city of Da Lat, the leading tourist destination in the country.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Son, Vice Chairman of Da Lat City People's Committee emphasized: "Da Lat Flower Festival is an opportunity to honor the city's flower brand, and at the same time, an opportunity for domestic and foreign artisans to exchange, learn and promote their products.
This year's flower spaces and exhibitions demonstrate the artisans' passion, unique creativity and are a warm welcome to visitors from near and far."
In addition to the exhibition, the program also organizes 4 major competitions, including orchid, bonsai, beautiful display area and flower arrangement. Thereby, creating an interesting playground for artisans and flower lovers.
Supporting activities such as Central Highlands gong performances, night food courts and traditional music and dance continue to enrich the visitor experience.
Da Lat Flower Festival is not only an opportunity to affirm Vietnam's position as the "Flower Festival City" but also opens up opportunities for sustainable development for the flower industry, towards international integration.
The event will last until December 20, 2024, promising to bring unforgettable experiences to visitors and residents.
