On May 18, according to information from the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, by June 20, four localities in the province must complete the preparation of compensation and support plans for the Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway project.
The Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway project is over 60km long, passing through 4 districts including Thong Nhat, Xuan Loc, Dinh Quan and Tan Phu.
The project starts at Km0+000 , the intersection with National Highway 1, connecting with the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, in Dau Giay town, Thong Nhat district; the end point is at Km60+243.83 (end of the intersection with National Highway 20), connecting with the Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway project, in Phu Son commune, Tan Phu district.
In phase 1, the project has a total investment of nearly VND 8,500 billion, invested in construction according to the standards of a 100% highway, with a scale of 4 lanes, and a roadbed width of 17m. The weak ground sections, bridges and emergency stops will be constructed on a complete scale, with a roadbed width of nearly 25m.
According to reports from localities, the total number of households affected by the project is more than 1,500 households. Of which, the number of households needing to be resettled is about 279 cases including: 20 cases in Thong Nhat district, 7-8 cases in Xuan Loc district, 120 cases in Dinh Quan district and 131 cases in Tan Phu district.
To arrange resettlement for people, localities have also reviewed the number of resettlement plots in resettlement areas that have been invested in and built as well as are implementing procedures to invest in building new resettlement areas.
On the investor's side, the Thang Long Project Management Board (Ministry of Construction) said that in 2025, the Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway Project will be allocated a capital of 814 billion VND to serve site clearance. Up to now, this capital has been transferred to the account of the district land fund development centers to carry out the work of measurement, counting, and compensation.
Accordingly, site clearance work is carried out on a complete scale with a total land area of about 378 hectares.
The Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway was invested in construction with the goal of meeting transportation needs, reducing traffic congestion and ensuring traffic safety on National Highway 20. Complete and put into synchronous operation expressways with high capacity, traffic safety and high speed on the Ho Chi Minh City - Dau Giay - Lien Khuong transport corridor to promote the socio-economic development of Dong Nai in particular and the Southeast region in general.
At the same time, it creates a driving force for linkage, promoting cooperation and development of the Southeast region with the Mekong Delta, the Central Highlands and the South Central region.
