On March 18, at the headquarters of Hue City People's Committee, Hue City Election Commission held a conference to announce the election results and the list of elected delegates of the City People's Council of the IX term, term 2026 - 2031.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Tuan - Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Council, Vice Chairman of the Hue City Election Committee said that the whole city has 89 candidates in 14 electoral units, the number of elected delegates is 53 people. The vote counting results determined that all 53 delegates were elected, and no electoral unit had to re-elect or elect more.
Assessing the election, Mr. Tuan said that the organization of the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term in Hue City took place democratically, safely, in accordance with regulations, and the voter turnout reached over 99%.
According to the Hue City Election Commission, on March 15, all 676 election groups opened before 7 am. Among them, 32 areas opened from 5 - 6 am. Voters participated in early voting, many elderly people and religious dignitaries went to vote right from the beginning of the hour.
The whole city has 970. 549 voters on the list, of which 970. 515 voters participated in voting, reaching 99.99%. In mountainous communes, despite difficult conditions, people still participated in the election with a high rate.
Regarding the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term, Hue City has 17 candidates in 4 electoral units to elect 9 deputies. The expected vote counting results determined that all 9 deputies were elected, ensuring the structure, and no units had to re-elect or elect more.
