On June 16, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man signed and issued Resolution No. 1675/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Hue City in 2025.
After the arrangement, Hue City has 40 commune-level administrative units, including 21 wards and 19 communes.
To prepare for the operation of the two-level local government from July 1, 2025, on June 23, Hue City Police said that they will temporarily suspend the issuance and renewal of driving licenses at locations in districts, towns and cities until further notice.
The issuance and renewal of driving licenses are still being carried out at the Hue City Public Administration Service Center.
The National Assembly Standing Committee decides to reorganize to establish commune-level administrative units in Hue City as follows:
The wards include: Phong Dien, Phong Thai, Phong Dinh, Phong Phu, Phong Quang, Huong Tra, Kim Tra, Kim Long, Huong An, Phu Xuan, Thuan An, Hoa Chau, My Thuong, Vy Da, Thuan Hoa, An Cuu, Thuy Xuan, Thanh Thuy, Huong Thuy, Phu Bai.
The communes include: Dan Dien, Quang Dien, Binh Dien, Phu Vinh, Phu Ho, Phu Vang, Vinh Loc, Hung Loc, Loc An, Phu Loc, Chan May - Lang Co, Long Quang, Nam Dong, Khe Tre, A Luoi 1, A Luoi 2 commune, A Luoi 3, A Luoi 4, A Luoi 5.
After the arrangement, Hue City has 40 commune-level administrative units, including 21 wards and 19 communes; of which 20 wards, 19 communes formed after the arrangement and 1 ward not implemented the arrangement is Duong No ward.
This Resolution takes effect from the date of approval (June 16, 2025).
