On November 1, the Hue City Hydrometeorological Station informed that in the past 24 hours, the city has had rain, scattered moderate rain, some places have had heavy rain; the total rainfall from 3am on October 31 to November 1 is generally 20 - 45mm, some places are higher such as Binh Dien 57.8mm, Nam Dong 58.8mm, Thuan An 101mm.
It is forecasted that from November 1 to 3, Hue City will continue to have moderate rain, heavy rain, and very heavy rain in some places. Rainfall in the plains is generally 150 - 300mm, some places over 400mm; mountainous areas of A Luoi, Phong Dien, Huong Tra, Phu Loc, Nam Dong communes... from 200 - 400mm, some places over 500mm.
From November 3 to 5, the area will continue to have heavy rain, then the rain will decrease rapidly. Natural disaster risk level due to heavy rain: level 1.
Heavy rain is at risk of causing flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas, especially in A Luoi, Nam Dong, Binh Dien, Khe Tre, Phu Loc and widespread flooding in low-lying areas down to rivers.
People need to be on guard against extremely heavy rain over 50mm/hour or over 150mm/6 hours that can cause deep flooding in the inner city.
