According to the Hue City Hydrometeorological Station, from October 31 to November 9, due to the influence of the strengthening cold air combined with high-altitude easterly wind disturbances, the mainland area of Hue City is likely to experience heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms; the sea area has strong winds, big waves, rough seas, need to be on guard against tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
The total rainfall is forecast to be 500 - 700mm, in some places over 900mm.
The Hue City Civil Defense Command requires units and localities to proactively respond early, not to be passive or surprised. In particular, focusing on searching for missing people, supporting affected households, arranging temporary accommodation, not letting people go hungry or cold.
Localities are required to closely monitor the flood situation, update information on official channels such as Hue-S, Hue Hydrometeorological Station, and review and supplement response plans for prolonged landslides and floods.
owners of reservoirs, hydroelectric dams, and irrigation works must operate according to procedures, ensuring safety of works and downstream areas, and prepare regulation plans when there is heavy rain.
