On August 23, the Traffic Police Department of Hue City Police said that it is stepping up handling violations of vehicle weight and size, especially on national highways, roads leading to mineral mines, cement factories, and construction projects.
From the beginning of 2025 to now, the authorities have handled 287 cases of vehicle violations, including 206 overloaded vehicles, 73 oversized vehicles and 8 cases of arbitrarily expanding vehicle body. The total estimated amount of fines is more than 4.2 billion VND.
From August 1 to now, nearly 80 cases have been handled, with fines of about 1 billion VND.
Hue City Traffic Police said that in addition to increasing patrols and controls, the unit also stepped up propaganda to raise awareness of business owners, drivers and shop owners in complying with the law, contributing to building a safe and sustainable traffic environment.
