The Le Quy Don cultural celebrity memorial area is located in Le Quy Don commune, Hung Yen province, with a total area of 9.7ha, including a newly built memorial area, ancient relic area and a public service area. To preserve and promote the value of the relic, the Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 2 to be the investor of the relic restoration and embellishment project with a total investment of more than 41 billion VND from the State budget, implemented in the period 2025-2026.
The main items include: repairing the Tu Duong area, Le Trong Thu mausoleum area and overall renovation of infrastructure and campus landscape.
After listening to the report and actual inspection, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized the important meaning of preserving, restoring and promoting the value of relics, especially in the context of preparing to organize activities to celebrate the 300th birthday of Cultural Figure Le Quy Don.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen requested relevant units to urgently complete the interior of Ta Vu and Huu Vu buildings; promote digitization of documents, scientific and vivid displays about the life, career and typical works of Famous People; strengthen landscape embellishment, ensure progress, quality and synchronization.
In which, planting trees in the Memorial Area will be implemented in mid-July 2026, selecting suitable plant varieties, creating a green, clean, and beautiful space.
Regarding the road connecting the relic site, he requested Construction Investment Management Board No. 2 and related units, contractors to focus manpower and vehicles, accelerate construction progress, and ensure good service for the travel, sightseeing, and pilgrimage needs of people and tourists.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to urgently complete the script, develop a plan to organize commemorative activities to ensure solemnity and meaning; and at the same time continue to complete the dossier requesting synchronous recognition of the Memorial Area as a national relic. Le Quy Don commune closely coordinates in implementation, ensuring the best conditions for commemorative activities to take place successfully.
He also emphasized the requirement to build a management mechanism to effectively exploit the Memorial Area in a sustainable direction; linking preservation with promoting heritage values, contributing to traditional education, spreading the cultural and scientific values of cultural figure Le Quy Don; worthy of the merits and contributions of an outstanding figure of the nation.
